Rockford, IL – August 14, 2024 –GetConnected815 (GC815) is thrilled to announce The Literacy Lounge, a vibrant celebration of literature and community featuring the highly anticipated book release of Frederick Jamerson Jr.’s "If I Was There." This special event will take place on August 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at United Way of Rock River Valley’s Irving Avenue Strong Neighborhood House, located at 312 Irving Avenue, Rockford.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with the event’s featured author, Frederick Jamerson Jr., alongside renowned authors Gracie Hill, Flora Cousins, and James Morris.
