Available Positions:


Impact Project Manager

This position relies on expert program and time management and provides supervision and leadership for UWRRV’s community impact and investment process.  Position provides oversight for Irving Avenue Strong Neighborhood House and its programming, Loves Park Strong Neighborhood House and its programming, Ogle and Winnebago Counties Grant Process , I READ and Success By 6 (UWRRV’s early childhood and early grade literacy initiatives), 2-1-1, and United Way’s Volunteer Center and Volunteer Engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities and specific duties:

  • Oversee and manage Irving and Loves Park Strong Neighborhood Houses, paying attention to maintenance of each house and assisting in the development and delivery of programming at each house in partnership with identified partners
  • Oversee the fund distribution process for Ogle and Winnebago County grants. Monitor allocation process and contract agreements with partner agencies, including: provision of services, quality of services, achievement of outcomes, and overall program management. Assist in determining the impact of United Way’s grant allocations in the community and work with marketing and relationship management to promote and publicize
  • Oversee I READ and Success By 6
  • Oversee United Way’s www.wevolunteer.org website and the engagement of community volunteers with community activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High standards of quality, performance, and accountability – must be able to juggle numerous projects at one time and reliably complete them on time according to proper procedures
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to relate effectively with a diverse group of individuals and organizations
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Willingness to embrace and adhere to United Way standards, corporate culture, and ethics
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Programs and other computer programs

Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years related experience
