Planned Giving

About Planned Giving

Some of our donors make a permanent commitment to the community by leaving a bequest to United Way in their will or estate plans. In 2020, we were pleasantly and gratefully surprised when we received word from Freewill.com that a 37-year-old community member had created a $10,000 bequest for United Way in their will.

A will is important for everyone and can be useful regardless of estate size. It's a way to support the people and causes important to you. Having a will ensures that your wishes are known, saving your loved ones the stress and cost of intestate probate proceedings.

A gift for you and your future

Your legacy and the future of our community is in your hands.

As a thank you for being a friend of United Way, FreeWill is delighted to help you create your legal will. It’s 100% free to you, and most people finish in 20 minutes or less.
