Volunteer reading mentor recruitment at Schnucks store locations

(Rockford, Ill. - 07/28/2014) – Help kindergarten students learn to read, so they can read to learn by 4th grade. Become a volunteer reading mentor through United Way of Rock River Valley's I READ program. Join members of Harlem and Rockford school districts at participating Schnucks store locations on Wednesday, July 30 to learn more about this early-grade reading program. Volunteer reading mentors don't need a background in education, just a passion to share a love of reading, and as little as 20 minutes per week can drastically change and improve a child's life.
