Meeting Real Community Needs
For 90 years, United Way of Rock River Valley has provided local partner agencies with the dollars and direction they need to help build our community and change lives.  Your one gift to the United Way of Rock River Valley improves more lives in more ways than any other donation. That’s because United Way partners with dozens of local agencies that demonstrate results. These results are evidence that the partnership we have formed is working for the benefit of people in the Rock River Valley. Your contribution helps fund programs that:

• Provide food and shelter for people who are hungry and homeless
• Develop youth by providing tutoring, mentoring, and a safe place for after-school care
• Help people with disabilities live as independently as possible
• Assist older adults who want to remain active and in their home;
• Provide counseling, job skills training, and crisis services to those in need.

And central to all programs is the objective of helping as many people as possible become self-sustaining, productive members of our community. That’s what it means to Live United.

100 % of your contribution supports programs and services in our community. Fifteen generous corporate sponsors cover the cost of United Way’s fundraising and administrative expenses.

Measuring Outcomes to Ensure Results
As with any reputable organization and as a good steward of donors’ funds, the United Way of Rock River Valley asks its funded agencies to provide measurable results on its programs that includes agency financial statements and program outcomes.

United Way of Rock River Valley requires all funded programs to produce measurable results annually. As part of our annual grant process, United Way trains agencies on outcomes and reporting results.
